Net income rose 47% compared to the same quarter last year, reaching $ 16.5 billion. <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"text-jutify\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0;\"><p><em><br \/>\n\u201cAs we closed out the fiscal year, our sales teams and partners delivered a strong quarter with over 20% top and bottom-line growth, highlighted by commercial bookings growth of 30% year over year,\u201d said Amy Hood, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Microsoft. \u201cOur commercial cloud revenue grew 36% year over year to $19.5 billion.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Microsoft and her Dynamics 365 partner channel greatly benefit from the boost of IT investments \u2013 partly also as a result of COVID-19. The revenue from the modern and innovative Dynamics 365 solutions and cloud services increased 33% (compared to 26% in the last quarter). And that was mostly driven by Dynamics 365 cloud revenue growth of 49% (was 45%).<\/p>\n<p>Remarkable fact: the revenue growth of Dynamics 365 is more than three times (!) faster than the average market growth for ERP and CRM solutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"text-jutify\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0;\"><p><em><br \/>\n\u201cWe are innovating across the technology stack to help organizations drive new levels of tech intensity across their business,\u201d said Satya Nadella, chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft. \u201cOur results show that when we execute well and meet customers\u2019 needs in differentiated ways in large and growing markets, we generate growth. As we\u2019ve seen in our commercial cloud \u2013 and in new franchises we\u2019ve built, including gaming, security, and LinkedIn, all of which surpassed $10 billion in annual revenue over the past three years.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Microsoft\u2019s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. The ongoing strong financial results enable Microsoft to continue her investments in the field of Research and Development and innovation. Part of this innovation is the continuous acquisition of new tech solutions and promising start-ups. An example is the recent acquisition of learning marketplace TakeLessons. This company helps people sign up for online and offline courses.
