This consolidation drives efficiency, fosters innovation, and enhances user experience across all enterprise solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ODOP Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ODOP is a transformational approach that leverages the strengths of Dynamics 365 applications, Power Platform, and Azure services. It ensures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unified Data Model: Streamlining data across applications.<\/li>\n<li>Interoperability: Ensuring seamless communication between services.<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced User Experience: Offering a consistent and intuitive interface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Impact on D365 FO:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following the current trends of product development and marked, the direct impact of ODOP on D365 FO includes:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong> Streamlined Operations:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Integration with Power Platform enables easier automation and process optimization.<\/p>\n<p>Unified data models reduce data silos and improve data accuracy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong> Improved Decision Making:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Advanced analytics and AI capabilities offer deeper insights.<\/p>\n<p>Enhanced reporting features provide real-time data visibility.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong> Increased Flexibility:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Scalable solutions tailored to business needs.<\/p>\n<p>Agility to adapt to market changes quickly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong> Enhanced Security:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Robust security protocols and compliance standards.<\/p>\n<p>Centralized identity management for better control.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Besides de above-mentioned improvements one of the biggest changes that impacts FO is the new<strong> Capacity-Driven Licensing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Overview<\/strong>: Capacity-driven licensing in Dynamics 365 FO ensures users pay for the exact resources they consume, promoting cost-efficiency and scalability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Resource Allocation: Licenses are allocated based on the actual use of resources such as compute, storage, and user sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Scalability: As business needs grow or fluctuate, licensing adjusts to ensure optimal resource utilization without overpaying.<\/li>\n<li>Environment Changes:<\/li>\n<li>Unlimited Environments: With the new model, we <strong>no longer have tiers for environments<\/strong>, allowing an unlimited number of environments.\n<ul>\n<li><u>Unified Development Environment (UDE)<\/u>: Provides a single, cohesive development experience across Dynamics 365 FO and Power Platform to reduce friction and simplify working across these apps. UDE also bring the possibility to use and access functionalities previously only available in T2 environments.<\/li>\n<li><u>Storage Capacity<\/u>: The only limitation is the available storage capacity, making it <strong><u>essential to manage storage efficiently<\/u><\/strong>. All environments will count for storage capacity limits regardless of there finality \u00a0(DEV, TST, SIT, UAT, PROD) therefore is becoming critical to effectively manage the environments and data in each of those environments. Microsoft is introducing new features to allow a more effective way of managing the storage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other kay change is the introduction of <strong>Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nowadays we use mainly LCS and O365 Admin Portal for managing licenses. That will change soon, the Power Platform Admin Center will centralize all administration portals where administrators will configure, track, and manage an organization\u2019s tenant environments and applications.\n<ul>\n<li>Unified Management Portal<\/li>\n<li>Environment Configuration<\/li>\n<li>User Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The ODOP journey marks a significant step forward in Microsoft\u2019s eco-system transformation.
