Business Central now offers a powerful feature to save time and effort when bringing new products to market called Marketing Text Suggestions with Copilot. This feature empower the user with intuitive AI tools to get more done with less effort.
How to activate this feature
This feature is available with all new production and sandbox environments with Update 23.1. For upgrading customers, the feature will be automatically enabled with Update 24, but administrators can enable it as early as Update 23.1. To enable features ahead of time, sign in to your online environment and open Feature Management, then enable for all users the item named Feature: Create AI-powered product descriptions with Copilot.
How does it work?
1. Start with a Picture: When creating a new item record, simply upload an image. Business Central will analyse the image and suggest a matching category from your list of item categories. If you’ve configured categories with templates and default attributes, these will be automatically assigned.
2. Author Marketing Copy: The new Marketing Text page, available from the Item card actions or FactBox, allows users to craft customer-ready, rich-text product descriptions. These descriptions can be used in any marketing activities.
Business Central leverages Azure OpenAI Service and GPT technology to generate compelling product descriptions based on the item’s attributes, category, and name. You can review and edit these suggestions before saving.
3. Customize Your Text: Use the Draft with Copilot window to adjust language parameters such as format, tone of voice, and quality. You can also choose precisely which attributes should be included when generating text.
Publish to Shopify: If you’re connected to Shopify using the Business Central extension, you can quickly publish items directly from the item card. This includes information such as item pictures, marketing text, inventory, and price.
Send the item directly to your Shopify store to start selling immediately and navigate to the corresponding product on your Shopify store, as your customers would experience it.
This feature is exclusively available for Business Central online.
The latest update provides an easier-to-use interface with more space for reviewing and editing drafted text. It also supports additional languages, including English, Spanish, Danish, Italian, French, German, Dutch, and Japanese.
