WHAT IS THE VISUAL PRODUCTION SCHEDULER?

Visual Production Scheduler is an extension to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business ERP
Central, dedicated to the graphic planning of production. It is a solution with
multi-user application, applicable to single-operation or multi-operation production orders.

Taking into account the market dynamics, it is essential that the production planning application is intuitive,
visual and easy to analyse and maintain. On the other hand, the possibility of simulating different
scenarios according to the expected needs is an essential condition to respond to the
daily replanning needs in most of today’s industries.

Visual Production Scheduler allows you to monitor and optimize production activities
through a graphic planning of production orders, with direct and immediate access
to the variables that can influence their sequence of execution:

• Capacity and availability of resources;
• Need and availability of materials.

Drag & drop functionality of

The presentation in Gantt chart format allows representing each operation by a colored bar. The movement and allocation of operations (bars) is simplified by the drag & drop functionality, due to:

• Deadlines to be respected;
• Available capabilities;
• Duration of each operation.

From the Gantt chart, it is also possible to access a set of possible actions of execution on an operation and/or production order, namely:

• Editing of operation data;
• Fixing the start date of the operation;
• Closing the operation and/or production order;
• Elimination of the operation and/or production order.

Reversal of the allocation of the operation to productive resources. The solution also allows defining a fill-the-gap allocation policy. This sequencing has a direct impact on increasing the use of productive time on the production line and, consequently, on minimizing unproductive times, since each change in the position of an operation causes an automatic update of the schedule of subsequent operations.

Based on the operation, it is possible to directly access the Production Order form in the
Dynamics 365 Business Central, despite the tool tip shown in the chart with the
main data of the same, and consult the list of necessary materials, indicating the
expectable quantities, already consumed and the current stock.

Visual Production Scheduler also allows you to track an operation with its operations
subsequent or antecedent events, by presenting a visual link between the operations. This one
method of visualization of the links, also applies to production orders. Also,
it is possible to consult this information in list format, which includes the screening for the
sales orders, where applicable.
