#044 BC SET UP AND SYNC MASTER DATA ACROSS COMPANIES

Business Value

Business Central makes it easy to move one company’s setup to another company in the same environment. You can also synchronize master data between the companies.

How does it work?

When you have two or more companies that use at least some of the same master data, you can save time entering data by synchronizing it in the companies. You can synchronize data only from the source company to the subsidiary companies in a pull fashion.

1- Open the Master Data Management Setup, In the Source Company field, specify the company that you’ll pull changes from and turn on the Enable Synchronization toggle.

How does it work2- Choose the Synchronization Tables action to add, remove, enable or disable the tables to synchronize.

Choose the Synchronization Tables action to add, remove, enable or disable the tables to synchronize.

If you decide to select the Overwrite Local Change checkbox on a field to allow data from the source company to overwrite local changes. To update the synchronization, use the Synchronize Modified Records action on the Synchronization Tables page.
