ARQUICONSULT WILL HIRE 50 MORE PEOPLE
The information systems consulting company, headquartered in Matosinhos and with offices in Lisbon, Barcelona and Luanda, generates more than a third of its turnover of 10 million euros abroad, employes 140 people and intends to hire another 50 year.
In the last decade, the technological Arquiconsult has multiplied its turnover by four, from 2.5 million in 2008 to 10 million euros last year, and more than tripled its staff to 145 people – 80 in Lisbon, 45 in Matosinhos, 12 in Spain and eight in Angola, and plans to hire another 50 this year.
Growth largely driven by the company’s internationalization in the last five years, with the opening of offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Luanda, with foreign markets already worth 35% of the turnover, guarantees Rui Santos, CEO of this specialized consulting company in the implementation of management, collaboration and “business intelligence” systems.
“In Portugal, we already have a size that does not allow us to grow much more, so both the Luanda and Barcelona offices are to be expanded and we will have to look for new geographic areas where we can grow”, says Rui Santos, who intends to “maintaining the double-digit growth rate” in turnover, reaching 11 million euros this year, and “hiring 50 professionals during 2019”.
“The 50 employees to be hired are all for Portugal – young graduates in socio-economic and technological sciences, to occupy functions of functional consultants and technical consultants”, detailed an official company source, in statements to the Business.
“Gold Certified Partner” from Microsoft, Arquiconsult’s solutions serve business areas ranging from retail and commerce to hospitality, logistics and transport, human resources, navigation, also covering, among others, the construction and space management sectors , environment and industry.
