Hipogest, which has managed, in franchising, the rent-a-car Hertz for 20 years in Portugal, guarantees the operation of tourist routes on two wheels, the Hertz Ride.
Present in 4 countries, Portugal, Spain, France and Italy, Hertz Ride operates in the motorcycle tourism segment, with a turnover of one million euros.
Situation
Hertz Ride, whose activity is seasonal and dynamic, and has a multitude of operational features, needed a simple and intuitive tool that would allow it to ensure and monitor all its operations and respective associated information.
With the implementation of the latest version of the ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Hertz Ride also felt the need to improve the analysis of its information, until then performed through the use of dynamic spreadsheets.
Making a decision or extracting indicators for a specific report involved 4-5 hours of a working day and entailed a corresponding delay in making information available to the various operational areas of Hertz Ride.
Solution
Following an analysis of Hertz Ride’s needs, Arquiconsult proposed the implementation of a “Business Intelligence” Solution supported on Microsoft PowerBI, to explore the information stored in the two operational solutions in use at Hertz Ride.
The Microsoft PowerBI solution, based on data models specially prepared for their exploitation, also allowed access to real-time data directly from the two operating platforms.
