Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the technology that defines our present time. AI is enabling faster and deeper progress in all areas of activity and knowledge and helps us to tackle some of society’s biggest challenges, such as providing students with remote access to education, or helping farmers produce enough food for the growing world. global population or allowing managers to have a predictive view of their activity, ensuring the sustainability of the business.

It is important to recognize that as new smart technologies emerge and proliferate, their benefits will come unintended and unintended consequences, some with significant ethical implications. While companies cannot yet predict the future, it is our responsibility to make a concerted effort to anticipate and mitigate the unintended consequences of the technology we promote and develop through ongoing planning and oversight.

There is a shared responsibility by the public and private sectors to promote open dialogue between companies, governments, NGOs (non-governmental organizations), researchers and academics.
SECURITY AGAINST THREATS
While technology may not be unethical in and of itself, people don’t always have the best intentions and we must consider the human element when designing an AI system.
Microsoft systems are prepared to respond to new types of attacks, especially AI systems that have machine learning capabilities. Technology with advanced content filters and introduction of supervisors for AI systems has been developed to help companies better prepare their AI systems to respond to these new privacy and security threats.
FIGHT FRAUD WITH AI
AI is a crucial tool in combating the fraudulent attacks that companies are often targeted. As we indicated above, we cannot always guarantee responsible use of technology and many will try to use it to their advantage, breaking any ethical principles and bringing harmful social and economic consequences.
AI analyzes a large amount of data with such a large degree of depth that it allows us to improve learning and detection of non-standard behaviors, alerting to an inappropriate use of the system or access to information. Building a fraud detection system with several ‘layers’ of information was almost impossible a few years ago, now with computational development and big data this is not only feasible, but also translates into the future of organizations.
When algorithms learn on their own, the data itself becomes intellectual property. The answers are in the data and we just need to apply the AI to extract the information we need.
