Microsoft Corp. recently announced its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2021 with revenue of $ 45,3 billion (up 22% compared to the same period last year), operating income of $ 20,2 billion (up 27%) and earnings per share of $ 2,71 (up 49%). Net income rose 48% compared to the same quarter last year, reaching $ 20.5 billion. These strong outcomes resulted in Microsoft surpassing Apple as the world’s most valuable publicly traded company.

“We delivered a strong start to the fiscal year with our Microsoft Cloud generating $ 20.7 billion in revenue for the quarter, up 36% year over year,” said Amy Hood, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Microsoft.

Microsoft and her Dynamics 365 partners continue to benefit from the current boost of IT investments. The revenue from the modern and innovative Dynamics products and cloud services increased 31%, mainly driven by Dynamics 365 cloud revenue growth of 48%. The company also noted “strong growth” in Power Apps revenue, which rose 202%.

With these spectacular results, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions continue to grow three times  faster than the market average. This growth proves the popularity of this set of business solutions in both in small and medium businesses and corporate accounts.

These continued strong financial outcomes have resulted in a spectacular increase in the value of the Microsoft shares over the past few years. Microsoft stock is worth 1.6 times as much today as it was one year ago. And even 5.6 times as much as five years ago! Resulting in a market capitalization of $ 2,45 trillion.
